If you haven’t registered for SpiceWorld yet - Watch this! Spiceworks. They just replaced all of these Ciscos with SonicWALLs last year and someone must have missed that the main site had two of them, so they just left it there and rebuilt the VPN tunnels. At first I thought it was something with the settings on the tunnels, but the worse it gets I think it must just me that the Cisco needs retired, and I didn't want to tell the customer they needed a second SonicWALL at their main site. Rebooting the SA 500 way too often lately. The tunnels renegotiate and don't come back quickly causing the the remote phone systems to reboot, or the tunnels just get stuck all together. The reason I brought all of this up is because the VPN for the phone systems between the Cisco SA 500 and the SonicWALLs (7 sites) is becoming more troublesome. I like the idea of connecting both internet connections to the SonicWALL. I don't think this changes anything, but it's not a voice VLAN. This is a NEC digital phone system (not VoIP) but the other remote phone systems are connected via IP. Two offices/sites were merged into one building, but the net admin must have either been lazy or liked it this way.ġ92.168.1.0 - most of the computers (maybe 30-40) and the servers.ġ92.168.2.0 - maybe 10-20 computers and the phone system. The point about the VPN being the worse bottleneck is what I thought too.
